A training programme for independent schools on specialist knowledge of safer recruitment, employment law, child protection and HR.
Our training covers the most important aspects of safer recruitment as they relate to independent schools and draws together specialist knowledge of safer recruitment, employment law, child protection and HR. Our aim is to support schools to achieve compliance with statutory obligations, to move towards best practice and to manage the increasing regulatory burden in this complex area.
The cost of attending a session is £250 plus VAT per person.
Safer recruitment is a central aspect of the inspection process. Successful implementation is fundamental to a positive inspection and to safeguarding the welfare of current and future pupils. It is therefore important as ever to ensure your training is up to date.
During each training session we cover all sections of KCSIE and look in detail at:
Training sessions are interactive with a strong focus on group problem sharing and practical solutions.
Whilst KCSIE confirms that there is no longer a requirement for staff involved in the recruitment process to undertake DfE accredited safer recruitment training, it is still essential to ensure that your school recruits safely in practice, and is able to evidence doing so to inspectors.
Our training will benefit all staff involved in the interview and appointment process, those who carry out pre-appointment checks, maintain the single central register or carry out the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead as well as governors and proprietors.
All attendees will be able to access the most up to date versions of the documents in our Safer Recruitment Pack prior to, and after, the training through our online resource area OnStream. The documents are located in the Safer Recruitment Library section. If you have not registered for OnStream we encourage you to do so now so that you can access our latest up to date safer recruitment documents and advice.
