This year's budgeting process is in full flow for the majority of independent schools, with difficult judgements being made around fee increases and affordability for parents, with a watchful eye on the likely increases to the employer contributions to the Teachers' Pension Scheme and the risk of a change in Government changing the tax status of charitable independent schools. Our latest edition of Schools Law Brief covers these topics as well as hot topics of AI and the Protect duty. Please do get in touch if you'd like further information on any of the areas covered. We will be at stand 161 at the ISBA conference and look forward to seeing many of you there. Our Practical Strategies event will also be taking place on 21 September 2023 at the Royal Society focusing on themes of: - Innovation, AI and Technology
- Political and Economic Threats
- Culture and Values
As always we anticipate an interesting day with high quality speakers and ample opportunity for networking with colleagues from other schools. Booking is due to open shortly. Please register your interest now.
